Hello all

I have a vts only used for track days. The passenger side drive shaft went on track so bought a new one. I have got a J&R one and changed it over. I believe these shafts are not hollow like the standard ones so might be a bit heavier. So J&R on the left and standard vts one on the right. When driving its fine put when I put my foot down it really pulls me to the left and I have to fight the steering wheel to keep it straight.

Anything to worry about or shall I just put a J&R driveshaft on the right too as I have a new one ready.

Thanks

firstly is it the right shaft for your wheel bearing and have you fitted the anti torque steering bearing half way along the shaft correctly?

Really sorry I mad a mistake in my first post. This is the passenger side drive shaft which as far as I know does not have the middle torque bearing. Also this is the correct shaft for my hub :)

I'd get the tracking done.

Lol well I never! I never knew that bearing was to stop torque steer. Explains why my steering wheels a little snappy when changing 1st to 2nd on high revs :D

Weird one, maybe it is to do with the difference in shafts like you say. And no its not the bearing that is only on the drivers side shaft :y: i'd go ahead and put your other one on and see how it handles after that.

Yeah never done it till I changed it. I have changed many before and never had the problem and could only think its because the new J&R one was heavier. Will change the drivers one as well and see what happens :) cheers
