106 gti owner in Bolton

I am a 2002 106 Gti owner from Bolton and have found a lot more help and activity on this forum than on the somewhat dead 106 owners.

Pretty much nothing but trouble with it since I bought it 18 months ago but having owned one previously and having a works van I knew what I was letting myself in for. Looking forward to a bit of help with trouble shooting the inevitable sensor faults around the engine. I'll bang some pics up when I have my new bonnet fitted.

haha! welcome to the forum! What issues have you had\have with it?

Replaced rear beam bearings, front ball joints, engine mounts, new head with catcams, power steering pump died, heat wrap on manifold set on fire after being soaked in oil. It's been a complete pain to be fair. It's misfiring now so I've got new plugs and a coil pack to go on tonight. Hopefully it'll start behaving then. I could do with a few months of trouble free ownership now I think!
