Hello

Recently my Saxo (1999/1.4/Automatic) judders heavily when pulling away after releasing handbrake, as though something under the rear of the car is sticking. It seems more severe the longer the car has been unwritten for.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Thank you

Check the engine mountings especially the rear gearbox mount

Sounds like brakes are binding

Agree it sounds like the rear brakes sticking. Guessing its got drum brakes on that model?

Happened to me. One of the shoes fell to bits so I (unknowingly) had a loose piece of friction material flying around inside the drum.

It would stick when putting the handbrake on, then one day the rear wheel locked up going down the road when the loose piece jammed in between the drum and other shoe, oops :|
