Hi all, would just like to know the best thing to use to clean the oil off when replacing the rocker gasket.

I used brake cleaner, they come in aerosol cans and it evaporates so you don't have to dry it after

Brake cleaner/carb cleaner on a rag. Or if that's not at hand just give it a good scrub with a rag.

If you gto a leak --most probably cos the cover where the fixings are is bent down --so not aplying enough pressure to the gasket --never needed to change a vtr gasket --ever
alsways cover has been distorted at fixings cos spacers have been left out at some time

Also the baffle plate gets distorted causing the rocker cover not to sit evenly.
