Hi chaps wondering if anyone can help.
Have a 2000 saxo and the offside headlamp and taillight isn't working, and we have checked the bulb and the fuse and neither are the problem - any suggestions?

We checked the fuses in the main box in the engine bay yeah but not the earth. Sorry to act dumb but how do we do that?

Look for breaks in the wiring, corroded connections/loose connections etc.Rusty metal where the connector touches the metal.

Yeah checked all that and it seems okay. Weird as well because the brake light on the same side doesn't work either.

Clean up the bulb on the rear light cluster.

Could be two separate problems mate, if you take the bulb holding plate out of the rear brake light cluster... Then get someone to push the brake pedal in the car whilst you push the bulb onto the plate slightly, if the bold lights up and when you let go the bulb goes out the bulb isn't secure enough to make contact with the plate, happened on mine a while back.... As for the headlight could be similar issue, the bulb contacts may not be touching the plug enough to supply power to the bulb...

Wrong size bulb in the rear light cluster can cause similar probs.
