dan_1-1

go to citroen then and pay through the nose for one, if they can even get you one. Either way it'll be worth more than the whole car

Jessaxo

I came on here to see if anyone would genuinely help me and might have a second hand one because I wanted not to have to pay loads for one.

I look after my car and I couldn't care less how much it's worth, I like it.

If you don't wanna be helpful, please fuck off.

Why do you think she's looking for a second hand one then numb nuts?

Gandi699
12th July 2016, 15:24
Yeah because second hand cats are always going to be the best quality aren't they, go to all the trouble of buying one to find its fucked

And also pay the subscription or get to 100 posts so you can use the for sale/wanted section like a normal person would do, or bugger off back to facebook you absolute fucking mongoles.

Jessaxo
12th July 2016, 19:03
If I didn't want a second hand cat I wouldn't be looking for one..

I know a couple of scrappys where I can have a look, was just posting on the off chance!

I might fuck off this forum tbh if anyone else is as rude ad you!

So second hand ones aren't good enough but a brand new ones too expensive?

You're full of shit mate.

Also, I'm not Mongolian your absolute cretin. Learn how to spell.

In my opinion theres nothing wrong with the cheapish new catalytic converters really I got a new one off ebay for 60 odd quid and its gone through 3 MOT's just fine so whats that 20 quid a year, might not be the best quality in the world but if it does the job who cares

Gandi699
12th July 2016, 19:32
And yet you moan about a pattern part not being good enough even though it'd get you through the mot? I'd rather spend money on a pattern part that will be a known quantity unlike some second hand shite but you carry on, go to the scrap yard rather than trying to blag stuff on here. And your white knight here can go remove it for you too

Why wouldn't you? You didn't seem to be able to use google or ask your local motor factors to find a replacement part even though you've now settled on an "inferior" after market cat lol

Really when some bell end starts kicking off at people for a bit of mild banter?
Says it all - having a post count in single figures, rather than do the time here to contribute to the forum and even better yet pay up to access the for sale section, they'd rather sod the forum rules off and post a wanted ad here and then tell people to fuck off if they don't get the response they want.

Only one giving it the 'biggun' is you pal. Also you posted that before Gandi had posted in this thread.
So, stop the tantrum. The lass who started the thread got the help she needed - she's now buying a new part instead of an unknown 2nd hand cat.

Dont you mean a 'patent' cat? lol
I was trying to point to out was to get a proper genuine replacement you could really only go to citroen who will charge the earth for one. Is it worth it on a 1.1 desire?
We all know after market cats arent the best and dont last but you'll get a year or two out of one and for the money they cost thats good value. I'd rather one of those than spend 20-30 quid on a second hand cat that is an unknown quantity when you fail the test on emissions and have the hassle of swapping it again.

Or fuck the rules and stuff i'll just start a wanted ad in here and if you dont give me what I want thats on my doorstep for less than 5p then just fuck off :wall:

The way you've 'pointed it out' was to insinuate I know fuck all about what I'm asking/looking for

And for your information, I've had my car for 6 years and the only fault it's ever gotten in an mot during that time is a blow in the exhaust which has lead to me needing the cat!

Everyone else whose helped out with genuine comments thanks they've been really useful!

as in a pattern part, made to the pattern of the original. Not "patent" lol
