Hi all, I've been away for a while, I have a new engine turning up for the saxo so some progress will be happening after about 3 years!!

In the mean time I owned a mk5 golf gti, mk5 R32. I then got my gf pregnant and a new job which is over 50 miles a day commute so i needed something fairly large and economical. I looked at these fabias ages ago, then decided on a mercedes a200d amg-line (that never went a head in the end). I then started looking at these again and before i knew it the salesman had me signed on the dotted line.. i'm sure he drugged me..

It finally showed up 10 weeks later, picked it up last Tuesday.

So it is a monte carlo (sporitest fabia skoda will produce in this latest generation), it has the brand new 110bhp 1.2 tsi engine, feels nice when the turbo kicks in, then becomes a bit gutless, nothing a remap won't sort out.

I had the climate control fitted (i wasn't going to have dated looking 'stove' dials), and i got the cruise control fitted for free.

As standard it comes with:

Radar front assist
Speed limiter
Panoramic glass roof
tinted rear windows
roof bars
sport seats
smartlink touch screen system (uses andriod auto)
LED black head lights/fog lights
All the black monte carlo front/rear/side trims, mirrors and grille
16" black/polished wheels
electric mirrors

The smartlink head unit is awesome, the amount things you can change is really cool (no need for VCDS to do the majority of things), its amazing what a relatively cheap car comes with as standard nowadays

My plans are to fit a Forge induction kit and blow off valve (it doesn't come with a BOV or diverter valve at all), and a remap. I might fit some lower springs at some point. Apart from that I'm just going to enjoy having a new reliable car!

Not something I would personally choose but if it gets you where you need to go and you've still got the saxo to play with then its all good :y:

Well like I said it's there to fit a purpose which it's doing lovely. So nice driving a new car with no knocks or bangs, everything works, has modern features, perfect bodywork etc ill keep it 3 years give it to my misses and it'll be perfect timing for a mk8 golf gti/r!

the thing I like the most about this car is that it means you can build the saxo back up haha
