Hi,

I have just swapped out a single plug loom on my 97 VTS. I believe the replacement loom came off of a later model.

Everything connected up as it should apart from the crank sensor as my VTS had the old type with the brown plug that came off the sensor, and the replacement loom had the longer cable from loom that plugs into the plastic moulded (newer type) crank sensor.

I've swapped the crank sensor for the newer type and now everything is connected together but cant get it to start.

I thought its the injectors because I cranked it over with the rail out and only 1 injector made an attempt of injecting even thou im gettimg fuel to the rail. (they look old and came off someone breaking a VTS so any 1's guess when they last got used).

My worry is that someone on one of the FB groups has said that i have to use a 97 loom, apparently he says they changed a few wires after that year????

From what i understood the single plug looms are the same and should be ok for my VTS even if it is from a slightly later model??????

Can anyone help answering this as i cant really go any further with my restoration ATM if that's true!!

Thanks

Wiring diagram (http://www.autoelectric.ru/auto/citroen/saxo/nfx/nfx.htm)

Have a peak it that it has notations on it about 97/98 looms, injectors could be stuck closed, crank sensor faulty, damaged wiring.

I went through similar before xmas, had to go through the whole loom checking wiring and sensors with a multimeter, didnt find anything wrong last thing left was the ecu got a new one and it fired up. Not a nice job was my first go at electrical diag took hours.
