Hi I am new to the forum and have just bought a Citroën saxo 1.1 after writing my old car off. I have not received any information about the car as it was from a small garage/dealers but just wondered if I could get some advice from anyone about the condition of the timing belt. I have attached some pictures that I could get of the belt and wondered if you think it is factory or has been changed in the cars lifetime. I know it might be hard to distinguish by photos but just wondered if there were any noticeable warning signs that it needs to be changed immediately? I will be having it changed as the car is a S reg which has done 82k, I just wondered if anyone thinks it will last a few weeks until payday.
Cheers!

If you don't have any history as to when it was last changed, then change it your car on 82k should have had one belt change in it's lifetime.

Change the water pump as well, by the position of that belt (nearly on the edge of the sprocket) your bearings are on their way out.
