Hi guys yet again another problem with my pug this time its the idle its bouncing and nearly cutting out.

There a youtube vid here https://youtu.be/3kqtpVAJHOM

Maybe some one has had this problem before i have no idea anymore ive checked all the leads to the throttle body i have Replaced the coilpack and spark plugs done head gasket head is slightly warped and timming belt.

And i put a 200 cell race cat on the car.

Im going to replace the fuel filter tomorrow see if that helps as it has ran out of fuel a lot and not been driven for over six months its the 1.4 quiksilver 8v

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Try cleaning the idle control valve.

I chased a dodgy idle for months until Chipwizards on here said to check the valve clearances. Low and behold they were miles off and it's been fine since.

I'm going to say this exact thing and mention Chipwizards every time idle issues are brought up :P

providing its an 8v --with adjustable valve clearances

That would be the one well i do know a something is going on the throttle body as when i start the car it sticks at 2000 revs i pull the plug on the sensor on the left and and plug it back in again and the car drops it revs back to where it needs to be again.

Sounds like dodgy map sensor or the icv needs cleaning as mentioned above :y:

I've a brand new , still in the bag Magneti Marelli MAP sensor here. £60+ everywhere - I'd take £30 for it.
