clutch cabe adjustment

hi
i've noticed that the biting point on the clutch is near the top so i'm gonna adjust the cable do i need to loosen the cable or tighten it?,also i'm guessing its clockwise to tighten it.

anyone?, just i was thinking that i don't wanna turn it the wrong way, its kinda awkward measuring the difference in height of the clutch so i was gonna do it by trial and error.
