Hello all, I have just bought my first saxo a few weeks ago, a gold vtr on a X plate.

I usually go for japanese cars after having a few such as, various civics, Nissan 100nx, Subaru Impreza, 2x mk1 MX5. I needed something cheap with 4 seats and the vtr popped up on a local facebook group so thought I'd take a chance on it at £500....

First impressions are fairly good, fairly nippy, handles well and does the job that I need it for, not keen on the gear box though, the change feels rather sloppy, especially coming from a mk1 mx5 before hand which had an excellent gear change. Is there anything the can be done to improve the feel of the gear change at all?

So far I've had to replace the mid section on the exhaust but its a very easy fix. The indicator relay seems to keep clicking away after the indicators have gone off sometimes, anybody else had this?

Welcome to the forum pal! Nice little VTR you've found.

There are linkage kits available to firm up the gearchange so it doesn't feel like you're stirring cold porridge when changing gear.

Thanks for the welcome. It is a fun little go kart so far. It needs a new clutch now though so that's next on the list
