Good evening one and all,

I have a saxo 1.1 2001 Y reg and for a little while it has not been running as it should be. Some days it could sluggish, hesitant when accelerating normally. Other days no problems.

A day ago the engine management light illuminated. I have plugged in a reader and there was only one code present: P0170 Fuel triim bank 1.

Now I have searched the forum for information / advice before posting.

My questions are as follows

1. Has the lambda sensor before the CAT failed. Ignore the second lambda after the CAT as this does not do anything (according to another poster)

2. How easy is it to replace? I can just about pick up a spanner but I am no mechanical engineer.

3. Where is the lambda sensor located - engine bay going into the manifold somewhere? Details / directions would be good.

4. Would you recommend the car be driven with this fault until fixed ? As I drove it today, no problem, or hesitancy, nothing. Good as gold.

5. Would you recommend replacing spark plug and air filter as well?

Thank you in adance for your time and effort.
