Howdy people, it's the first time I've posted on here so I apologise if this is a proper noob question, I bought the wife a 2003 Saxo VTR 1.6, without checking if it's a coilpack or HT leads I ordered some HT leads for it as it said on the advert that it fits.
What I want to know is if there is any way to change from a coilpack to HT leads? As I've noticed that some engines do have four HT leads instead of a coilpack.
Thanks in advance guys.

Yes by cutting the main connector plug off, then soldering the wires onto a ht lead connector plug. You need to find the correct plug, then buy a block type coil pack for the ht leads to plug into.Easier just to send the ht leads back.

Certainly sounds easier to just send them back haha
Cheers for the speedy reply, appreciate it!

its 20 minutes work tops to swap the plugs over and run HTs/remote coil pack. there are benefits to run the coilpack thats mounted remotely such as less heat soak into it but you'll need to change the support for it on the right hand side of the head which encapsulates the end of camshaft.
If its a standard road car just fit the coil pack that its designed for, its a whole lot easier.
