I'm collecting parts for rebuilding my braking system on the saxo and i'm wondering whether to go for braided hoses to swap with the originals or just go for an oem replacement?

Either way they need to be replaced and i'm looking at about £35 to swap them with an oem replacement or £60+ for braided lines, are they worth the bit extra or should I just go for oem and spend what I save on other bits that I need?

thanks

I was always under the impression that braided hoses are just for show/bling & have no benefit mate.

They can help to some extent but most of the benefit is their durability compared to exposed rubber.
If you need some I can supply them

Ok thankyou, I think I will just replace them for oem ones and put the other money towards bits for remaking the solid lines.

Unless they are proper genuine OEM ones direct from Citroen which they won't be for £35 then go for the braided ones

standard rubber hose will be much less than £35.

I'm just looking for an equivalent replacement to the originals really, I would like braided but if they aren't going to make much of a difference I think I may as well spend it elsewhere, I know its not a massive price difference but it all adds up when collecting parts and its more to spend on bits I really want for the car. And I meant to say OEM equivalent not genuine ones as I know they won't be cheap!
