In 8-10 years the Audi, Aston and Bentley would’ve quartered in price though, whereas this would probably be worth even more than it is today.

Actually, I have in the past. I paid extra for the Saxo VTS used in Gavin and Stacey, because it was used in the TV show.

so everything with some history or otherwise public interest should only belong to museums? Tell that to collectors of fine art. If someone is willing to pay that kind for it then let them carry on, no one would bat an eye lid if it was on some classic car auctions site rather than ebay

Cars/Motorbikes should not live in museums if they are static displays, they should be run/used/ridden/driven otherwise they are no longer a car/bike.
