I know this isn't a 106 forum all the ones i could find are either dead or don't send me activation emails :wall:

car is a 2001 106 1.4 quicksilver

Not had any trouble with the car previously, been running great. driving home from work and the engine just cut out and wouldn't start again, would crank the engine over but not fire.
took the coil pack off and a few spark plugs and there was no spark, so i brought a new coil pack and new spark plugs for good measure.
tested the new coil and spark plugs and it still didn't spark :wall:

had a look online and people were saying crank sensor so brought a new crank sensor and still doesn't start and still no spark :wall:

got a OBD2 reader off a friend from work and checked the error codes
P0350 Ignition coil primary/secondary circuit
P0135 02 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 1
P0141 02 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 2
P0200 injector circuit/open
P0440 evaporative emission system

all keeps pointing to the ignition coil, but don't know if the other codes coming up because of the ignition or because there also faulty ?
any suggestions or ideas are welcome

What about the crank sensor wiring?

All those faults have a common live so check the fuses and main relay.

Check to see if there is power?

The fuse in the engine bay looks fine, the relay under the ECU?

Check for breakages in the wire, the crank sensor sends a signal to the coil pack.

All the faults listed have a common live, it's a problem with the live which comes from the main relay, and before that through a couple of fuses.

I promise it isn't the crank sensor, or its wiring

Look at live data, you'll see cranking speed, maybe 250-300 rpm..

How do I go about checking that ? I have used a multi meter on the 40A fuse in the engine bay and that read 12v taken the relay off that's under the ecru doesn't look burnt or damaged and neither do any of the pins

Start where you don't have power and work backwards. If you've got power on all the supplies to the main relay it's probably got a dry joint or two inside, or it's failed, or it isn't windings aren't being energised for some reason.

You could also supply power (fused) to the coil power terminal directly and see if it then runs. The coil connector 'boot' is moulded on so it would be better to use a breakout box if you can get one.

Ok I reckon it's the relay that has died. Mine has the browny orange relay can't remember the O.E number as I have left it at work. But it's the Cartier one or what ever it is.
My question is euro car parts sells one but it's a black Intermotor branded one and it says the O.E number is different. Would it work or is it a used eBay job

it'll probably work.
