As luck would have it ive been offered a mint VTS from a friend who lost his license some time ago, its perfect Mk2 low milage and he only wants enough to pay his fine for it, so i can get a nice low price. Only thing holding me back is insurance. A quick glance on confused found the cheapest at £2500 !!
I wouldnt dream of going anything except fully comp. So im needing a good company which favours us youngans. My details:
Age: 19
License Held: 10 months
Years NCB: 1
Current insurer: Churchill (they wont insure me on a VTS untill im 21)
Thing is as i can get the car cheap i dont mind paying quite a bit more than my current insurance, like around £1800 fully comp perhaps, even tho the car is cheap £2500 seems way to high to even think about it being worth it. ideas?

so i guess looking for anything below say £1700 im jus pissing into the wind ? Adrian Flux jus quoted me £1750 but they say i can get more off if i ring as its jus an estimate, so i might have ot give em a bell. Seems they are cheapest atm.

Some insurance companies now off No Claims bonus for named drivers aswell. So you could always register it under your parents names with you as a named driver, save yourself a bit of money and still get the no claims bonus!! Not quite sure who it is that does it though, but definetly worth looking into in my opinion

how on earth do you work out liscence held 10months yet 1 years ncb ?
when i got quoted at 19 with 1year ncb was about 1600 for fptf which is a joke and about 1800 for a 106 gti both insurance group 13/14 with the 106 gti spossidly cheaper, ended up gettin n almera gti group 14 for 950 tpft shows how much it doesnt just go down on n insurance group,
