OK just wondering while the head is off , should I get the valve stem oil seals replaced while head is being skimmed ? engine is at 90 thousand approx . Also what gasket would you recommend for my Saxo ?
cheers :y:

I'd replace them for peace of mind. Also I would buy nothing but the original part as from experience I have to redo 2 gasket jobs because the aftermarket part failed. That's when I found out I could have had the part cheaper from the manufacturer...

Those prices,do they include a cambelt kit+water pump?Plus are they skimming the head as well?

Price sounds reasonable if it includes everything. I'd imagine most saxo's are gonna have their issues if you bought another one anyway, personally i'd stick with the car you know.

I did the head gasket on mine with water pump cam belt and aux belts for £125 inc car from Citroen. It's a job you can do at home they are super basic engines to work on. Also did a full refurb on the cylinder head for like £50. I would seriously look into doing it yourself cus £500 is laughable.

Hello Stevo , no mate just head skim , new gaskets , coolant , oil change .
Just got myself a recon head now with new stem oil seals , have to wait 2 days turn around for it to be machined , so thought bugger it and get a recon .
