Engine swap help???

Not sure if this is in the correct section..... so I have recently removed my engine from my vtr to put in a 106gti engine, but didn't realise that I was meant to unlock my ecu before hand. The new engine doesn't have an ecu so was hoping to buy another or get an aftermarket one. Am I going to have problems with immobilisers or anything else when I come around to fitting the new engine since I didn't unlock the old ecu???

It's a 1998 saxo vtr with no keypad if that helps.

If you get an ECU to match your VTS engine I can remove the immo.
Or, buy an ECU 'kit', with the key and the immo box to match. You don't need to change the locks, just swap the key blade from your old key.
