im at my witts end with my saxo, basicly my car will lose all power has in electric power when im driving or sometimes when i go to start it up, the engine still runs but everything electrical cuts out engine still runs and dirves then 5 secs later eleccy works again, ive checked all connections that i know of a friend said that it might be just a dodgy battery is this possible, by the way i got the battery tested it had full power and the bloke said it might be because my battery is to small for my ice system so disconnected the system, but it still happens every few days what could it be pleeease help :bored:

it wunt be the alternator, coz if that were gone then the battery would get no charge so then car wunt start and also when battery was cheack the crank power would be down, so i would say eaither a bad earth wire on the battery or the chassie or the battery cables inside the termainals that conect onto the battery could be loose. hope this helps ya mate

Will any garage be ok if its an electrical or woul i best getting it checked out at a citreon place, any help is great guys i really appreciate it, i hope its the earth it doesnt sound that expensive

ok just a quick update it was not the earth thats very secure, so all that leaves is an electrical issue somwewhere so im going to have to get an electrical mechanic to have a look but im shitting it encase its expensive, oh by the way the dials speedo etc stopped working this morning so ite royally fucked

ya dials and that aint fooked lol usually just take the battery out for 30 minutes and let the ecu reset itself then hay presto they shud work fine, also for the lights problem deffo sounds like a bad earth

right so since the dials have stopped working the issue with the electric cutting out has stopped could i hav a messed up ecu or something? i appreciate your help!!

i had this same problem i thought the vtr was possesd

it turnd out to be the earth cable
locate it and replace it with a thicker gauge
