Hi guys does anyone know if there is a shorter oil filter for the saxo vtr as I bought a exhaust and it seems to not fit but hits the oil filter, painted it and put the gasket on the middle of the new pipe work before I tried it "like a twonk" last guy who had it said it came of a vtr but I'm not 100% sure, filters about 8cm long maybe a little more due to the ball type shame at the end. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170521/da81a23164020507a0f092a5f24efa6a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170521/9123dd99ba2a8202e7b49b4d2b438090.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170521/539f02b95a0b05d067b79b0461ba8ac9.jpg

I've never seen an exhaust manifold for a VTR like that before.
I'd put my bets on it being off a 3 plug ECU VTR with the plastic oil filter (which is in an entirely different place) as I notice there are holes for 2 lambda sensors. of course your car will only have one.

Correct it does only have one and it is a 3plug ecu I believe, could I put the oil filter and the part that moves it across on I could couldn't I?

maybe a renault 5 oil filter which is only half the length of saxo will solve the problem
not a simple job to retro fit later type oil filter assembly to old style block

All myself bud, if thinking of doing it create a rough budget and double it lol
Also ask for help, there is no shame in it and it makes it 10x easier than struggling to work things out yourself :)
