every now and again i am getting a nock around the front drivers wheel.new drive shafts.
new lower arm new track rod end new strut bearing .no play in wheel bearing .
when i first go backwards with a bit of a turn it will useually do it.does not do it
when just driving around ,just mainly on the first forward or backward movment.
could it be the shock absorber, when moving the steering it somtimes does it and you can feel the nock at the top of the strut.
im thinking of changing the front strut/shock ,has anybody else had a bad shock that has caused a nock.thanks for any help.

Could be the shock yeah, I had a similar issue with mine when it was on the road I never got round to changing it, I believe it was because it was an apex shock absorber and it just didn't seem to fit at tightly as the originals did, the gold caps that hold the shock absorber in also need to be really tight to stop any movement they can occasionally come loose.

sounds like worn strut -eg piston has worn the busg in the damper -so if you jack it up under arm -then push strut in and out you will get movement --very common on saxo after 40k--no big deal if damper not leaking

thats why the bilstien dampers have a piston twice the size of std unit
