Gear box oil

my Vts is leaking slightly gear box oil. No side affects shown but it seems to be gear box oil. How do I check the gear box oil level ? And how do I top it up ?

Top it up from the top of the gearbox but first I would find out where the leak is and resolve that gearbox holds 2 litres total

Likelihood will be a driveshaft seal.

if you top it up from the top (breather hole)you will not know how much is in there.its ok if you have had the box off and know its empty.
i would top it up through the side of the box with a bottle and tube.

always fill from the top, with the level plug removed.

filling through the side is a pain in the cunt.
