My slightly modified VTS has been in storage for about 2 years. Started it the other day and the cam belt went. 4 snapped valves and one bent. I have another head that I disassembled years ago with the intention of polishing. The valves from the current head are some sort of aluminum alloy (non ferrous at least) and the valves from the other head are steel. obviously I'm going to grind them in and they appear to be identical in size. They obviously don't weigh the same.

If you know your shit, is it going to be an issue?

I'd say it's not going to matter too much but ideally you'd want all of your valves to be of the same material and weight.

Either find out what valves your current head has and replace them, or swap all the valves from the other head.

I'd pick up another head tbh.
