could anyone explain,when bolting the head down on an aluminium block you have to turn the bolt
240 degrees in one go and an engine steel block 240 degrees in two turns of 120 degrees.i seem to trust doing it in 2 goes.

Won't do any harm doing it in 2 stages.

just as long as you start on the inside ones and work your way out in a "circular" motion.
