Hi. I know this topic was moved million times but after days of searching the forums i can not get straight forward answer. So i have 1.1 Desire flat arch with 165/65r14 steelies mounted at the moment. I am aiming to install VTR MK2 alloys + standard for this alloys 185/55/r14 tyres. I have read that some people think it is straight fit, others thinks it will need spacers to avoid tyres rubbing the arches. Car is not lowered at all. Now the question is: do i really need spacers or not? if yes, what size?? Considering that drums are narrower than disc about 3mm (thats what i found in one topics) tyres are 20mm wider (so it would be 10mm closer to arch i assume) So: 10mm spacer or no spacer?? Please help.

Forgot to add, i am talking about rear wheels, front likely wont be a problem. Normal wheels are ET18 , vtr rims are ET16

Yeah no rear wheels definitely will rub with the standard trim piece and also you will need to do some metal cutting for clearance when the suspension moves.

Funny thing, only front is rubbing a bit on full lock, rear not. Ordered 10mm hubcentric for the front, should be enough.

Ah better that way, when I've first done it I had 185/60/14 ns2r and it rubbed everywhere but mine is lowered as well.
