Cheers, this topic is being posted probably for the 100th time, so delete if necessary. My question is what dimension is the best looking for a vts: 185-55-14, 195-45-15, 195-50-15. + post pictures of your cars if you have these dimensions because im buying new tyres (165-65-14) and with this stupid dimension i dont have too much options when buying tyres. Thanks for helping in advance!!!

195/45r15 is probably the most common

185/55r14 looks normal too.

why are you buying that tyre size? aren't they a bit skinny?

Because they are stock wheels now if youre asking about 165-65 :/

Well, a 106 Rallye takes a 175/60/14 and they look right.

Really depends on what you like?

What about 185/60/14? how will they perform? i got an answer that my car will barely move and the top speed will be reduced by 20km/h

Putting the wrong tyre size is also going to throw your speedo off.

The correct size on VT 14 inch alloys is 185/55/14

my car will barely move and the top speed will be reduced by 20km/h

Well it's a 1.4, top speed is more than you want to drive at in a shoe sized car. When I had my VT, 100mph is enough to make the car take the wind from under and liftoff, did not feel secure past that especially if you still have the spare wheel hanging under the boot, absolute shit diffusing.

My top speed is about 110km/h not doing actually more than that because our roads are afwul and roads where i drive are limited to 80km/h so 100-110 km/h is enough for me. Im not into hooligan driving...

Aye, then I found my 30 years no claims in a back pocket at the Levis store.

You don't have to eat the Kellogg's. :homme:

I'm merely highlighting the relevance of mentioning "diffusing" when the majority of the instability comes from the air flow over the top of the car and the shit front rake as standard. :y: fight me :boxing:

I said the car takes the wind from under and lifts off at 100. Lack of engine tray and dam effect behind the back bumper. But looking at the supercharged 1.5 thing video, 90 is an achievement and I understand it may seem like a faraway concept.

Think we're a bit off topic :P I've been using a 16v for last season :homme:

the N/A 1.5 was managing 90, the supercharger was merely to get it out of the bends faster - which was successful as it produced more hp at the wheels than the 16v up to 2000rpm :A:
