Well i fitted my new exhaust on friday evening, however came across a slight problem once it was fitted. As you can see the from the pictures below it doesnt sit flush enough with the bumper. How would i need to go about adjusting it?

Mine did that all i did was stratch the rubber over the other bars.
(Cause there are 2 bars you can have the rubbers on)

There are 2 bars :S will have to have a look.

thought i may need to purchase smaller rubber mounts tbh.

Do what i did, zip-ties around the rubber bungs. 2 per bung.
Then u can adjust it by tightening them until it sits nicely.

as you can see from the following pic;

i could always try that, just need it tightening to bring it up slightly.

I think what he means is there's a bung on either of the box, left and right side. Correct?

Here's 1 of my zip-tied jobs. Hope it helps

Remember thou. It's not really a long term fix. I keep telling myself that, and am meaning to get some shorter rubber bungs. Had it on the ramps yesterday, but didn't do it. It causes no probs, and no1 can see it. So what the heck. 1 day.

yea thats true, halfords told me they order rubber bungs to size. however it takes 2 weeks for delivery etc.

so will use this temporarily for 2 weeks or so.

right,

well i added these on to my rubber bungs and the exhaust had moved therefore causing the centre section of my exhaust to make horrible noise.

any other ideas?

i got this same problem, was thinking maybe get em to weld it on again or just change the exhaust.

yea looks just the same as mine.

i tried using cable ties, but i drove off afterwards and the centre section was vibrating against something causing a horrible noise.

going to see what i can do next. might have to be re-welding.

STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!!!!!!!

after reading this thread yesterday i decided i'd go out and do something about mine, went out and bought some bigger rubber bungs (or whatever they're called) with smaller gaps and had a go myself at fitting them.

5 minutes later and my exhaust is sitting securely where i want it :Y::Y::Y:

The bungs are £4.99 each from a local motor spares. i think they're meant for a Ford Escort, thats what it said on the packaging anyway.
