Hi just joined the forum as we have just bought a saxo VTR auto grass car, it has no age details with it so to buy new parts for I Need an approximate age, the car has a cartridge type oil filter not the spin on metal ones, I believe the metal ones were mark 1 saxo is that right?
It needs a clutch so if anyone can recommend a brand of clutch it’ll be appreciated.

Being an autograss car, there's no telling what's been changed.
Square headlights = mk1
Round headlights = mk2 (you'll know by the bonnet shape)
thin driveshaft nut (wheel hub is thin, with bulges around wheel bolt holes) = non taper drive shaft
thick driveshaft nut (wheel hub is uniform thickness) = taper drive shaft.
being a plastic cartridge type, sounds to me like it's a post 1999 model engine, roller rocker valvetrain etc.
Genuine Valeo clutches work great. being a later one, you need the pressure plate with the equal distance holes in the pressure plate. earlier ones are 2, 2 and 2 bolt hole pattern. do not lose the bolts, they're M7 and a bastard to get replacements. don't over tighten them either, they're torqued to bugger all, they snap easy.

Cheers mate, I was thinking it was the later model, I’ll look for a valet clutch, didn’t want to buy just any and have to do it twice.
