im pricing up a shopping list from polished bliss and the list f things ive come up with are as follows:-
poorboys super slick suds - to wash with
poorboys ssr2 polish - this will be to get swirls out of the paintwork i dont realy need it on mine but i will have it just incase never know.
poorboys polish with carnuba blue - this will be for my car its a light polish with a wax aswell
porboys EX sealant with carnuba - this will be for after plish as a 1st layer of wax but it says that it will cover up any swirls or defects
poorboys nattys paste wax blue - this is the last coat of wax and will protect the sealant and give a realy wet look.
my question is if im using thethe ex sealant is there much point in using the polish with carnuba blue as the polish has a wax in it. i will clay bar the car before all this process after the wash so this will remove any tar sap or other crap on the paint. im just not sure whether i should just buy the polish?
also how would you apply the paste wax would it be with the aplicator pads?
help please what do you think. its quite a pricey list when you add it al up. so hope the outcome is worth it Very Happy
thanks in advance jamie

to get the best possible look from your paintwork you should Clay, Polish, Seal then Wax as a miniuim in my opinion, i tend to glaze in between polishing and sealing but thats just another option, you dont have to do it..
Again, in my opinion, i would use the Polish with carnuba before the Sealant as you will notice a difference, another option instead of buying the polish with Carnuba is to buy the SSR1 polish instead, this will have slightly more cut but still leave you a crystal clear finish prior to sealing and waxing :)
applying the paste wax - i use German applicator pads for this on the red side, works a treat and i'm sure you'll be impressed with the Natty's, as ive mentioned in other posts - this is the wax i use on my car and on customers cars :)
i agree to a certain extent that detailing products can be expensive when you first get introduced to them, but when you see the results that can be achieved when compared to your Autoglyms/Meguiars on the shelf products, it really is worth it and does really show that you get what you pay for :)
hope that helps :)

thanks very much that does help.
what will give better finish using the carnuba polish rather than the ssr1.
i have a dark car so i assume the blue will be better for that.
what glaze do you recomend. i have been told klearkote red mouse by someone but you dont do that.
i will probably order either today or tommorw i need to check the bank.
i want it to be a realy wet look.

Unless the Paintwork is in pretty good condition i would advise the SSR1 because as i said, it has a bit more cut so will have better ability to remove certain defects, but it will still leave as good a finish as the Carnuba polish..
Yes the Blue Natty's will be better on the dark paints, i use it on my Red LCR.
The Red mouse is very good and we did use to stock it but we found that the Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish (depsite being called polish this is actually a glaze) was just as good, if not better. I had half a bottle of the Red mouse left but gave it to my cousin as i much prefer the Blackfire nowadays :)
happy to help :)

SSR1 > Glaze > Seal > Wax :)
dont worry about it, there are a hell of alot of products and techniques etc out there and it can be confusing when differentiating between them, but thats what we're here for :)

oh i see glaze before waxing cheers.
where do people get there pc's from. i have previously used a DA on an old car of my uncles because it was realy faded and he didnt mind me practicing and my dad had loads of spare polishing pads. but i fancy looking into a PC for ease and quickness when i get used to it of course.
some rep points heading your way. thanks

This is the cheapest place to get your PC from, 99% of people purchase from Autopia as their customer service is top class and they have very fast delivery, even from the US (3-4 days tops usually)

Yep that is an ideal starter kit mate, the sonus pads themselves are very good from what i believe, i've never used them personally as i use the lake country ones from Polished Bliss obviously. I wouldnt bother with any of the Sonus Polishes etc though as they arent that great..
I think it works out to around £160ish? cant quite remember, but now's as good a time as any to order it as the value of the pound is quite strong at the moment :)
