I'm in the middle of going through a claim... I'm insured with Elephant because they're cheap and because of this accident and the time Elephant have taken, I've approached the third partys insurance company (Quinn Direct) directly and they've dealt with the situation sooo quickly. The car should be back within the next week so I'd definitely recommend them :-)

All depends on what type of car it is, how much it's worth, what area you live in etc. Any factor could change it.

£865 TPFT
or.... (what i went with) £1193 0n my furio - named driver, 1 yr experience, no NCB

word of warning: they are wise to "fronting" and charge accordingly

I had a quote with quinn on my 1.1 saxo for £1680, i am also looking at buyin a vtr after x-mas so a gotta quote on that aswell online and it was like £100 - £150 more to insure the vtr. But i am only 17 so i dont expect anything lower than that. thought the vtr quote was good not too good on the 1.1 though.

I'd personally say Quinn are only great if you plan on modding your car? Otherwise places like directline, virgin etc are better?

As has already been said different quotes for different people.

I believe Norwhich union recently raised their premiums for young drivers by up to 40%. They also underwrite alot of other insurance companies which increases their premiums.

If you mod you car your going to pay alot more with any company as its more of a risk.

I'm with quinn, get treated really well over the phone and all their letters are really easy to understand as is all the usual paperwork they have. THey also don't mind speaking to other insurance companies which is really helpful for some things.

Also, Damo's insurance claim made me really glad to be with them as i don't ever want to be kept waiting if i ever do have to claim :)
