I posted this in the insurance section but there was no answer so maybe will get some reply here so:
the claim is getting so frustrating as the other persons insurance are holding back from everything!

How long does it take for insurance to be sorted??

My crash was on July 5th and still nothing has happened. My solicitor has said that the bloke is trying to say its my fault so it will obviously take longer.

I spoke to him the other day and he said that they want an engineer to come look at my car, yet they still havent arranged a date. My solicitor also said that a 3month period ends of 18th October but he didnt specify what this period was for... any ideas?

I think its taking to long for the other blokes inurance to organise an engineer. so was wandering if anyone knows what happens if they dont arrange it soon (tax expires end of oct) and how long it roughly takes for a claim to be processed?

My mate crashed his furio last year (august time) and he's only just got a court date.....it wasn't his fault but the other bloke had no insurance.

Complete front end damage... car is fooked!

Im with asda... seemed like a good idea at the time but now seems they have no idea what they are doing.
Apparently the other blokes insurance company have been saying they want to set a date for an engineer to come out... its been 3 weeks now

It really all depends on your particular situation, no one on here will be able to tell you how long its gona take unfortunately hun..

Nah, was gonna see if anyone has had bad experiences like this...

Insurance company will def change next month when its due to be renewed.

I just kept hassling my insurance company with my crash managed to get a cheque after 8/9 weeks.
