how can i clean my engine up on my saxo vtr to make it look the bizz?

i used gunk on mine and it came up well

cant beat saoppy water though and some hard work

i took a few things off but not many

using a tooth brush will help

auto glym engine wash basicly cover up termnails then rinse down with hose them spray the auto glym sparingly all over work it in with a new paint brush then rinse and dry comes up nice

You cant beat the gunk stuff. i used it aswell and what a difference it made

its isnt that expensive mate bout £6 for a squirty bottle which is pretty good stuff! halfords sell it

hard graft and soapy water got me nowhere :( so i used WD40 and sprayed my rocker cover which makes a massive difference. Its just a matter of getting all the s**t out the crevices that really makes it look good.

Gunk or any other degreaser, i got some "NV - Engine Degreasent" from halfrauds, was around a fiver, good stuff. spray on wipe around and work it a bit and wipe off.

Quicker and probably most effective method would be to cover all electricals with tin foil (seems the most effective way) and hose it down. Then back to black / WD40 or something similar. :thumbup:

WD40 and an old cloth did the trick for me as above.
Just need my rocker cover spraying up too.

Wouldnt advise water and soap on the engine back personally.
