use a lambswool mitt, sponges casue swirl mark scratches in the paintwork.
after drying down with either a chamois or waffle towel, polish and then wax your car. ask "polished Bliss" for specific products to use, hes top dog.
polish once a month and wax as often as possible as this is a protective coating, the more you build it up the better. But polishing takes the layers of wax off, hence only polishing when it is needed.
An alternative to wax or an extra (i use both) you could try a paint sealent.
Loads of people say the Megs 3 step range is the best, so maybe try this, it renovates cleans and protects your paint.

Start here...

and work your way through the guides. If you want specific advice on what products to use to get the look you want just tell me more about your car, ie. colour, condition, whether you want a wet and glossy finish or a shiny and reflective (or a both of both), and what your budget is.
