Anyone know anything about Nissan 200SX's one drove past me the otherday and I was quite impressed but I've had a mooch on autotrader and theres alot of "Touring" models I'm guessing this is an automatic?

Does anyone know anything about them? I imagine there pretty quick?

Cheers

The Nissan 200SX is basically the English name for the Nissan Silvias (S13, S14 and the S15). All rear wheel drive too!

Nissan 200SX S13:
power - 169bhp
weight - 1190kgs
0 to 60 - 7.29sec
1/4 mile - 15.72sec

Nissan 200SX S14:
power - 197bhp
weight - 1267kgs
0 to 60 - 6.72sec
1/4 mile - 15.13sec

S15 are the newer ones but dont think they are available over here in the UK.
They are mainly know for use in japanese drifting.
Look like a mini skyline the S15s do.

Parts are interchangable with most Nissans. The Pulsar uses an SR20DET Engine which the S14 uses.

RB26DETT ( Skyline ) Engines slot in 200sx's and also the headlights and rear lights are interchangable with S13 / 14 and the S15.

The S14a touring just has different upholstry and sideskirts.

S15s are Jap market only.

Then theres 180sx, 200sx, 240sx etc. The bloody list goes on for ever!

Tuning Inevitable. As I said, parts are all interchangable. Powers brilliant and they use them for drifting alot. Becoming a cult car very fast imo. Reliability is good as its japanese but Ive heard the that the standard Boost pipe is prone to collapsing when the car has covered alot of miles. However, this is with the S13.

If you want one, get a S14a if you can.

I forgot to mention there called Silvias in the States and in Japan.

Rushy - The Sileighty is not ugly! Its a S13 Silvia with 180sx headlights.
And very rare! I actually saw one on the way to Silverstone once!

The S14s and the S15s look very nice i think, just not keen in the older ones. The S13 is even  imo.
