have you noticed how when a saxo driver crashes, it's always mentioned in the article, but any other car is just "a blue car" or a "saloon car"

his gf is in a stable condition and doctors are thinking about waking her up possibly today

we had a gathering this evening of all his friends and his mum and sister came down to see us and let us know we will all be invited to his funeral(lots of us)

and she thinks us all convoying behind the herse is what he would want as he lived and breathed cars/bikes so he is gonna get a right sight as he watches us all arrive to say our goodbyes

such a sad loss and everytime im on a drive out ill always think of him as its what he loved to do and 1.4 or not he was always just behind no matter what

leeds106
25th September 2006, 01:56
also 8th fof october we had a pontycruise-v-leedscruize match going on at yorkdragway so were doing it for jay as he would have certainly been there running as he never missed anything like this

but he will certainly be there to see it he wouldnt miss it so were gonna put a good show on for him

i know a fair few from here are attending on this date so look out for us all

Which section of the A64 was it?

I worked as part of a team that re-designed a section of this road to increase safety.

its made me really think has this, although i didnt know Jay that well he seemed a sound lad whenever i met him and this is proof that we dont all last forever. however how much time do we waste doing nothing, be it sat infront of the tv or sleeping in because we have no reason to get up. i'm sure Jay and his family would give anything for him to have just one more day here with us to do something, even to do nothing. i think what i'm saying is that we should all try and live life rather than sitting around not doing anything because you never know what is round the corner.

its horrible how these accidents happen and proves that there is no justice in this world. no parent should ever ever have to burry their child.

my deepest sympathies to his family and friends. lets just hope there is a better place that we go to after this life.

Rest in Peace dude

we like to think R.I.P stands for race in paradise cos we know thats what he will be doing

its made front page of evening post for them wanting to catch a glimps of this star

and mark illsee you at york but with jay watching over me everyones gonna be wasted

he injected so much speed into that little 1.4 saxo (my old engine) he made it quicker than it should ever have been

least he had one last day with his gf before this happened as they were on there way back from flamingo land together when it happened

Not to add more bad news or hijack a thread dedicated to friends of people on here but with regards to the above see link.

http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/news/tm_objectid=17806908%26method=full%26siteid=109975 %26headline=teen%2dkilled%2din%2dcar%2dcrash-name_page.html

after reading the above article the pictures kind of bring everything together, it was hard to imagine from the sketchy details that i had heard. looking at the car it makes you think how maybe all these roll cages we're buying maybe for more than something cool to look at, if only jay had had one maybe he'd be on here posting pics of a dented saxo rather than us posting these condolencies.

unfortunately i couldnt get the yorkshire post as the version over here is different to the leeds one and there was only a small peice mentioning the accident.

Mark, if your free this weekend we'll have to take some flowers from me up there.

as for racing in paradise i think thats exactaly what he'll be doing, doubt he'd have it any other way.
