While back he passed his test, got bought a 206 for about £3k or so, they crashed, got bought another one as it wasn't his fault. dad bought him a new one for £4k. got 6 points so has to take his test again etc. then crashed his car and now......his dad and his gf (step mum) offered to buy him a bloody mini!?

abit before first car got his room all sorted, new cupboards etc and a new computer for a grand......grrr!!

*whistles* My parents boughtmy car *whistles*

however, I pay my insurance which was 2k for the first year, all the petrol and all maintanence, road tax and mot. All they payed for was the car.

but at the end of the day, I respect my car and I appreciate the effort they put it to get it for me. I'm not a freeloader and I'm not spoilt.

im sorry, but thats bollocks... many people tell me that im spoilt.. and my reply to them is "woohoo". yes, my parents bough me my car, pay for the insurance, and pay for the diesel.. but that doesnt change how much i care for the car... i adore it..

i asked my dad to let me buy my own car.. but he wouldnt let me :S

i can understand parents paying for car and insurance, but for diesel, thats a piss take, get yourself a job and start paying for a few things

My parents do help me out, but my car, insurance and tax, it's out of my own pocket, and i work for most of the things i need to pay for. I can appreciate what baz says totally, thats over the top.

pointless thread, your always going to find people who have had an easy life or live in the clouds and get away with it, deal with it

i can definately see where your coming from my step bother was the same, got his 1st car brought for him, wrote it off, got another brought for him, got done drink driving, so his car was sold, then when he had served his year ban he got brought another car, got done for drink driving a 2nd time, and now has to do community service every sunday, and is banned for 3 years!!! his 3rd car was sold, and now its gonna take him years and lots of money to be able to afford insurance!!! what goes around comes around!!!

No matter what any of you say, your parents have spoilt you more than once in your lives, i don't see why people should be so jealous of others, be happy with what you have got and stop worrying about the next guy getting better stuff than you, if you liked your stuff so much it wouldn't bother you..

Thats how i see it..

no matter what people say, if u have had something bought for u then u wont respect/like it as much as if ud worked and paid for it yourself, as its your money that u have put into it.

and yes some kids are spoilt, whats really funny is when they think there not as its so expected by them..

im not saying parents should spoil there kids, i mean my gf says i got spoilt now and again, im not disagreeing with that, if parents can they will, car and insurance is expensive, but as ive stated, it proves you really are if they pay the petrol

i gotta say i did get my car bought for me and insurance. totaled upto £1400, but ive had to pay everything else from what was my £14 a week wage. so yes i may have been spoilt in that part but i know if i got my self 6 points and license resinded.....like hell my mum n dad would then offer me a mini! its just over the top and the fact that last year he was paid full time wages off his dad for doing 3 days a week.

anyway thats my mini rant over lol

he does sound a bit spoilt but if the parents have got the money then why not, its not going to do much.

I got told last night that a girl that was parked next to me got £1.5 million for her birthday. Her dad owns fleet services on the m3!

That is a shit load of money!

no offence taken :)

but as i said, my dad insists that he pays for it, and im not realy gonna complain..

there are also some specific reasons why he does it.. but i do not intend to divulge into that..

i know that if he lets me change my insurance, he will make me pay for the insurance, and for anything i have done to the car.. :)

but also.. i see nothing wrong with being spoilt.. lol

exactly mate, my mum and dad used to buy me my phones.....after loosing about 3 and breaking 2....they made me buy them, since then i havent lost or broken one in past 5 years or so.

i mean i don't really like my car but....i love it at the same time, but i do want it to be a write off lol saves much hassle of selling it :)

I was spoilt before i started working. The day i got my first wage i havnt had a penny off my parents. They do still spoil me for xmas and birthdays and if i ever asked for some money or was in need for some i know they would help me out.

I never ever ask for money, havnt in about 2.5 years and i dont really plan on doing so. I like the way they treat me now and the respect i get.

e dear guess who i saw today....still driving some how even though he got 6 points like 3 week ago. anyway.

saw him being the usualy tit of a driver, was at my mates, (his GF's bro's house) was just talking to him, next min we heard some car being 'ragged' and guess who it was....he launched it up the hill round the corner slammed on the brakes, skidded a little, then revved shit loads to reverse onto the drive, we where left with a nice smell of burning clutch!

any wonder he has crashed twice, got 6 points and fuked his gearbox and clutch after his car doing about 30k? i think not!

knob!
