Going to treat myself to a HID kit currently got 100w Ring Sportzblue bulbs the best cheap Halogen bulbs IMO but I want something more seeing as I do a lot of nite driving and what with Winter around the corner.
Anyway..
Does anyone think I'd get abit of bother from the cozzers with 10000k as they look very blue apparently the most common in HID temps on our roads are the 6000k and the 8000k (which are in all the reasonably new exec cars) but I want to be diffrent lol it's either the 10000k for me which is Aqua blue or the 12000k which is a vilot purple color.
I think the Bentleys have 12k's.
Either way I'll have them fitted Tuesday so will put some pics up of the Sax with them in, £89 delivered of ebay.
But I'm undecided on Aqua blue or Purple at the mo lol.

Just an observation, not trying to throw water on your fire or anything but If you have got standard headlights (with a h4 fittament bulb) then you will need a HID kit that has a high/low function (Also known as bi Xenon) else you will have no high beam like you would normally with your regular bulbs, if that makes sense.
I looked into getting a Hid kit myself but a HID Hi/lo kit is more like £160 than £80 so i decided against it, still they would look pretty good i reckon. I found one here:

Btw, how do you rate the ring sprotz blue bulbs, are they any good interms of performance/ colour? or not much different to the £5 blue poo bulbs on ebay? lol

The 12k ones would look nicer... And I can't see you getting any trouble to be fair!

If I instal a non bi-xenon kit what will happen when I try and flash my main beam?
Wost case I'll wire it up so the foggys come on so I can still thank drivers at night
And yes Sportz Rings are quality best bulbs avalible imho a lot better than your £5 jobbies.

Darren: Bi xenon kits just mean basically that you have a high and low beam function like you would with the normal headlight bulbs in your saxo except they will be HID of course (so producing a bright clear blue/white/purple light or whatever colour you choose) it means you can flash people and have high beam like you normally would. A non bi-xenon kit would only allow you to ever have low beam all the time as it has no high beam function. Hope that clears it up a bit for you :D

Nice one G_man does indeed clear it up
Out of intrest if I flash my lights at someone to thank them what will happen when I've the HID kit installed am I right inthinking the lights will dim for a split second like when some cars flash me instead of going brighter their lights go out except the sidelights for the flash.
That I can live with as people will still recognise it if i do it a couple of times, I couldn't not say thank you as when people do it to me it really pisses me off.

Brooksy, they are the closest your going to get to HID tinge of tastefull blue not LED blue and pure white light, excellent they are worth it you wont get no bother off old bill as think of it this way they wont put out as much light as xenons do and people with xenons dont get no bother.
If that doesn't put your mind at rest, I've had them in for four months and been stopped a couple of times by traffic none of them has even mentioned the lights its really not a problem.

not quite. When you flash them without your headlights on then obviosuly the lights will come on for a second (like normal bulbs would) , but if its at night and your lights are on then when you flash them the light will get brighter for a second as the light (or in somecases the bulb is tilted upwards by the hid mechanism) hence the flash, bi-xenon kits would work like normal bulbs would basically, as they have a high and low beam (enabling you to flash soemone) and therefor flashing would be the same, except of course these would be high power HID light coming from these rather than just normal yellow light fromregular halogen bulbs.

Got them fitted, I'm in love pure sex.
Will get some pics up tommorow.
Only thing is it attracts attention away from the rest of the car because people do look at the lights, they dont expect to see a Saxo with Xenons lol, only car in my area with aftermarket xenons and what a diffrence it makes.

i do alot of night driving as well and would like some better lights for better visability... also getting my windows tinted next month and i've heard it's not the best for night driving, so i think i need some uprated ones.

Ah good work Darren, pics please :P they the same ones as i posted up there at the top of the therad by any chance? i was reading about the kits online and apparently they give off a fair bit of glare, not that it would top any of us getting them, but it would be interesting to see how much light they give out, proba fair bit, a few pics of the lights up against a wall or garage would def show a clear difference to standards :P
look forward to seeing the pics
