i though CV boots were about £12-£15 and thats from citroen! but cant you get an inner and outer cv Boot or am i gettin confused!

adamlang
26th September 2006, 14:20
yeah the CV boot its self is cheap i think its just the labour in removing wheels and brakes and hubs etc to get to it.

probably around right. give us the full details on your receipt, the part cost then labour cost in a list

CV £12 labour £30 for 1hr ect

labour depending on where you go should be from 25-45 per hour so if you work out about 7 hours work for 45 theres about £300 quid

Hanuman

and better yet what garage did you go to?

adamlang
26th September 2006, 14:31
yeah he said there was 9 hours of labour. i shall post the receipt on here tommorow. it was 'wayne connolly motors' in stockport. Have used them for my past 4 years of driving and have never had a problem and they do a good job. Just wanted to double check this was the right kind of price.

well yeah thats it i had just spent money on new wheels and 4 pots and fitted them all myself but the car was just running shit and i wasnt enjoying it. Picking it up this morning i fell inlove with my saxo again :) i usually do all the works on my car servicing, fitting new parts etc but clutches and cam belt are something i would like to stay away from and would like to pay the money to know it was being done quite and properly.
