alrite people! whats the best car cover to get for my car? ive sin a few in argos and they look pretty cheap and rubbish!

If you can avoid them, do so, and putting them on and off can lead to fine scratches. If its for outside storage buy a decent wax/sealant instead, if it's for inside take a look at...

surely its better to have your car covered, keeping it out of water and crap, that would keep the paint work better and less rust? surely someone should invent a car cover thats soft enough to not scratch ur car but be bettter than leaving your car out to the elements 8 crap months outa 12?

true, but it can't really be all that possible to invent such a car cover. As fine particles of dirt and grit will always be either on the paint or on the car cover and this moving along the car surface causes the fine scratches.

No, better to avoid anything touching the paint and protect it with high quality surface car products that seperate the the paint from the environment. My car sits on my drive all the time now (I do less than 50 miles a week if I'm lucky), but I will never cover it, even in winter. I would rather wash it a couple of times a month and top up the protective coating - this actually protects it more than any cover could. :)
