...do you ever get in a mood where you just can't be arsed with everything. Everything just gets to you, annoys you or upsets you. Or is this just some stupid girl thing i am going threw??
Been feeling dodgey for awhile now - and now i just really cant be bothered with anything, or anyone. Which is unlike me and i'm usually proper loud and bubbley!

Sorry about this random post - feel like knowing if i'm the only weirdo like this.

I get like that from work quite alot. Getting really stressed from a bad shift...doesn't help working 12 hour night shifts some weekends as well.

Aparently if your feeling down or depressed a good work out is meant to help you...so get to the gym if you can be bothered.

Luke
27th September 2006, 18:02
I sometimes get like that Aimee, like last night I was in one of those moods.

I'm slightly in one tonight worrying/thinking things, but I'm sure you will be fine. Be alone, listen to music/watch tv and chill out.

Aimee_C

i know exactly what you mean aimee.. i get that sometimes.. i just feel like i need to smash something.....

i take another ritalin.. and that helps me a bit.. lol (but im guessing ritalin is not an option for you..)

watch a funny film or something.. just do something different to what you are doing.. and it should help to take ur mind off all of it :)

have fun, and hope you lighten up soon :).. i believe in you, soldier!

Easty
27th September 2006, 18:21
if it's depression you wont be feeling "down" as such, you're probably just in one of those moods !

it might not be caused by anything in particular, maybe just fed up with the same old routine !

Don't worry Aimee, everyone gets like this - I feel like it a lot of the time, it comes and goes every couple of months or so, you feel like you can't talk to anyone, and i personally get really snappy with people.

Exercise does help though, if you feel up to it, (endorphins and other scientific crap,) so try making it a regular thing. Otherwise there's only one option - Bridget Jones!! - The ultimate "cheer-you-up" film!!

I know it sounds 'middle-aged' but i find writing lists helps when i'm in this sort of mood. Write a good page of "life's simple pleasures" - things, doesn't matter how small / silly, that make you happy. Try and get a few into each day.

Chin up chuck!! :)

Aimee_C
27th September 2006, 18:37
Thanks love...

i would usually have gone to karate tonight as i do every wednesday which helps loads because i can let all my anger out - but missed last week due to a work night out and tonight missed because i've got a cold and generally feel crap.

Bridget Jones is a top class film - i just dont have it *embarrased to say* any other films that are on a par with that?? I have 10 things i hate about you - i love that film!

Moulin Rouge, Chicago, both are top "cheer-up" films, so are chick-flicks like 10 things etc... Find a cuddly duvet and some hobnobs, and go watch one!

That's definitely on my list of simple pleasures! :Y: xx

telling her she's depressed must be such a massive lift i suspect :err:

not proud at all. i didnt even know i had it... seems to be a history of it within our family. my parents noticed the symtoms in me doctor said i should take some medication. I looked at the sideeffects (which included my bollocks swelling up) and decided not to bother.

the sister was on suicide watch.

enough of my life story.

Just think about how many of us care about you enough to try and cheer you up on a chat forum!!! Grab a bottle of wine and snuggle up in front of telly! You'll be fine in the morning.

Other option is to go for a razz in the motor - that does me the world of good when I can't be arsed with anything

To be fair, I said Might be mild depression! didnt exactly say "you are depressed" !! :P

Anyways I am in no way an expert but I do belive depression is or can be different with everybody, and im pretty sure feeling down for a time for no apparent reason is a common symton of mild depression a.k.a "feeling down"
Depression does sound a scary word but like 1/3 people suffer from it mildly, the biggest reason for people taking time off work in the uk is... yer... depression

Personally i think its pathetic, puttin it all on the internet, if your worried go see a doctor, you feel a bit down, big deal, your young, get yourself out with your mates and have a good time.

I wish my problems were as simple as yours
