you can get the ones from a 106 bonnet might take more of a load? surely a bonnet is heavier than a boot so maybe try a scrappies?

Ahhh a mate of mine had a similar problem... I'm sure somebody told me you can buy uprated gas shocks for the boot but... I wouldn't know where. Sorry.

If push comes to shove and its really annoying you, fit a bonnet stand to it, shouldnt bee too hard to do and atleast if u need the boot open for a prolonged lengh of time u wont need someone to hold it the whole time!
