does the saxo have an air intake temperature sensor? i dont think it does but if it did i would imagine it would be in the throttle body or very close to it on the intake pipe

Can it be posible that you are loking for asomting else? like the airflow meter sensor? on the left side of the 16v (the injection unit)
This is the first time I have heard that we have a air temp sensor?
The mixture is controled mainly by the engine temp sensor, airflow sensor and the lambda. Check what you're looking for.
