Speeding fine + points

Hi all, well this is a shitty day... got a speeding fine and 3 points on my license.

i was doing 35 in a 30 and missed a sneaky portable camera (guy in the back of a van thingy)

Ive only been driving since march so im driving like an angel for the next 1 1/2 years.

Just wanted to say... if you do speed, as most people do... then make sure you look out for cameras, or just dont speed.

I was gutted this morning when the letter came through the post, 60 quid fine and 3 points, its really not worth it, i would rather have been a couple minutes late for school.

I know for a fact i wasnt goind 53, they caught me on them things that look like they are aiming a fucking gun at u. In the cop shop, another lad got caught doing,, guess what, 53 in a 30 by the same type of gun thing. I swear its a setup, never ever have they been around my area before.

Its jus frustrating some days u can go 30 and think wow im going quite fast and jus stick at 30, other u will be going 40 and thing man this feels real slow and u cant help it, well thats the case with me at least.

a week ago monday i think i got caught by am obile camera, nothing has come in the post yet, so im hoping i dont gte anything, itll be 2 weeks monday so unless its terribly late i shoudl be clear, fingers crossed.

doesnt matter how fast the car is, theres speed limits and i dont think its worth speeding to get points to pay the fine and to pay extra insurance

so why mod ya car to make it go faster? only messing.. i understand why people do it (track?). I rarely speed at all, cant afford the petrol lol. Thing is it seems that odd time u do, u get caught. I see twats doing silly speeds in subaruhs etc and never seen to get caught for it. arh

i know that at the end of the day i was speeding, but in my defence i was going around parked cars... and there was a bus coming to other way so i sped up to avoid it or whatever.

still no excuse, im in control of the car, but its really upset me cuz insurance is going to go up, 60 quid fine.. and ive been working my bollocks off to save for my alloy wheels, so yer :(

Im going to appeal because i was going round parked cars, and trying to avoid a situation or whatever... but i doubt ill get it taken away.. fingers crossed

some of the traffic cops around are alright, one of my mates is one but others can be proper c**ts.
when i first passed i used my mums fiesta 1.25 zetec, coming home from work, over took a dark blue vectra at 70mph the drove on the wrong side of the road to avoid a speed camera three times and jumped a red light. next thing as i slowed down to go though town the vectra that i overtook earlier came flying next to me telling me to pull over whislt he waved something shiney at me. obviously i stuck my fingers up and tried to drive off. got in to the middle of town on a friday night and he over took me and slammed on. i stopped, got out, got my bat from the boot and went over to his car, opened the door and raised my bat to lamp him and then i reaslied that they were undercover police. they threatened to take my licence off me and put me in jail. not knowing any different i believed them and started to say sorry. eventually they let me off.

thats class mate... my mate had a similar prob with a focus. he pulled over looking for a cd and a focus kept driving past, when he eventually started driving they followed him, therefore he started speeding up and after a few mins chase he went to his mates house (where alot of his mates were) and they stopped behind him.... it was undercover police...

he got away with it as he explained that he didnt have a clue who it was and he thought they were actually chasing him and it could have been anyone.

so people on 3 points and only got 6 points to play with chill out, end of the day you have spent a few hundred to get your licence wots the point in losing it over a few minutes fucking about

the thing i hate most is the oncoming traffic flashing at you warning you of speed cameras... total arses. I had a shitty honda civic race past me on the way home from work lastnight and he was doing soooo many dangerous things it was unbelievable!

adsayer fair enough i was doing 66.6777 whatever percent over the speed limit. but it was very late at night and on a road where there are no houses or other cars. (like an industrial estate type thing) and there was 1 of them daft silver wierd dog type vans behind me a min into the road.

i would never do that speed on normal roads during the day or early hours of night.
