Well today i have mostly put my steering wheel on, chromed the engine bay(no pics as of yet) black side repeaters and rear black lights, some showplates (just for pictures) and took my front lights and fogs out for spraying, along with the rear badges(well headlights i bought but aint put em back in as thats a job for next week), also put my rear GTi leather seats in but wont have pics until they are all in so watch this space, also ripped out the crappy tints and put the sax-p stickers on,

Next on the list is

Get the Painted fogs and headlights back in
Along with the rear badges
Get the 106 GTi Front seats in
Remove rear wiper AGAIN
Get some black mesh for grill
Get the wheels refurbed and powdercoated black along with some detailing on the tyre walls (white writing)
Autostyle mats
Black aerial
Full exhaust system with manifold
BMC or Green induction kit
Then thats about it for about a year then drop a vts engine in and put a supercharger on

i normally dont like sprayed dash, but that doesnt look too bad with your dials, any pics of it in the dark

also i like your steering wheel, any full pics of it please?

get some black mesh into your grill

id ditch the mudguards imo

yeah think ill ditch the mudflaps because the brakets have went rusty too so its for the best the mesh is gonna get painted black or i might just buy some more as i was gonna do the bottom too

will get some better pics of the wheels etc in due time

as for the interior parts they need redoing wel the centre console needs doing as it got broke into ages ago and havent botherd painting it

a 206 aerial might be an idea matt have you got one and does the base give a good seal?

the dials are from ebay and really simple to fit just type in saxo dials and should come up with a few, click on the one with the pic with them glowing, you can get em for mark 1 and 2s

gotta say that the instrument panel is stunning. Im not a fan of losing the steering wheel (airbag reasons) but you've pulled it off brilliantly

some more progress pics, sprayed my mesh for grill, my fogs and my badges in matt black paint, looks really good, will be putting a coat of laquer on tommorrow

fogs are a bastard to get to there are 3 nuts 2 on the top and one on the bottom corner, then take the fog to bits and heat up the edges and prise carefully away while pushing on the glass from the inside of the plastic surround

It's looking good mate! Some nice little touches like the coded dash bits. Like it! Noticed the airbag light was on in the first few pics. You got that sorted yet???

cheers mate, the airbag light is on because i have fitted an aftermarket wheel with no airbag, but will sort this out by taping over the light when i get round to it

It's easier to pull the carpet back between where the driver's and passenger's feet are (behind the centre console) and unplugging the airbag ecu! And easier to plug back in again if you decide to put the original wheel back on when you come to sell!

hmmmm could always do that like lol, but i have the gti seats with airbags would these work with the ecu

update again, finally got round to spraying my centre console tonight (got broke into a few year back and when headunit got took the fucked my centre console up, cunts lol), also ripped the rear window tints out and cleaned nearly all the glue off, was a complete nightmare to do and will never get tints again, i used thinners to get the glue off, worked a treat, also whilst the rear windows were out for cleaning i painted the nut/caps in black plastikoat paint, and finally de wipered it AGAIN, will get some more pics tommorrow when i fit the two front gti seats, so watch this space :D: :D: :D:

got seats in today all done now just need a bit of leather cream on them then ill get the pics up, just need to get doorcards retrimmed in alcantra, but must say it looks the bollocks and really sets the interior off am really happy :D:

some more pics of the gti interior, look great, i used auto glym leather cleaner and leather care cream, and on the alcantra i used vanish upholstery cleaner, really pleased with the results

cheers mate, nope dash board is standard only thing i will be getting retrimmed is the doorcards in alcantra, also ive ordered some executive car mats with a deep pile cant wait for them to come, i will have to start driving with no shoes on lol :D:
