vtr engine with piper 285 cam, stainless 4-2-1 manifold, full exhaust and decat, carbon induction kit, remapped with increased limiter but requires new map now. bosh super 4 plugs standard bosch leads thats it nothing special really

For that 70 mark its at 7000rpm so its only 1000rpm out i beleive 6000rpm is the limit on the standard vtr wich is what the car is at when going 60mph so it cant be too far a stretch for atleast for the clock to read 60 on a standard vtr this is why i beleive when people said it they couldnt understand why they got slated

erm ok.....
my furio does almost 60 in second and i believe it has longer ratios...
so a standard vtr shouldnt be able to do it, may be wrong tho :S

If it does, and I can be arsed to tell you all about it, I'll let you know.......don't hold your breath. Firstly, I don't know if it will do it or not, and second, I don't know if I'll bother writing about it here.......so...........

The speedo might tell you you're doing FUCKING 60 IN 2nd... BUT YOUR SPEEDO IS WRONG. I repeat... your speedo is FUCKING WRONG

not once in this thread does it say anywhere that a standard vtr can do 60mph in second and in the title stated the Myth! whats a myth if anyone has been to college should know its not real so why are you getting worked up, i put a little explanation in there that at 6000rpm wich is the vtrs standard limiter it reads 60mph everyone knows the clocks are out 5-8 mph maybe more my sat nav read 66 when speedo was 70 sold sat nav now however so didnt have it handy on this vid please people no one was even trying to say they could do it standard

The "Myth" was about a standard VTR so you said it as soon as you typed "The Myth of the VTR doing 60 MPH in Second"
This is getting pathetic why cant people just beleive that a STANDARD VTR CANNOT DO 60MPH IN SECOND GEAR :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

its true about the speedos.... i know its not a saxo but im pretty sure all cars are the same, my mates got a 1.4 polo and he has a road angel, it sed he was doin 28mph when he was doing nearly 35 !!
SaxoAL

and speedos become even more out of sync when you start messing with wheel sizes too..

6200rpm is the limit on a standard vtr,www.gmcmotorsport.co.uk ask them they know there stuff!!! they produced 147bhp from ax gt and turbo'd a subaru before subaru actually made turbos scooby's,neway citreon specialists, and you dont get full power on the 7k rpm u just get more speed, put it on a rolling road and ull find hitting 7k is a waste and more likely to kill your engine, nice sounding car nice speed:D whats the top end?

im not sure on top end mate not had chance to test it on the track yet and wont be doing on it pulbic road, yeah the power band starts to fade out at around 5500-6000rpm you can actually here the power band drop as it hits the higher revs on the video, Its got a great sound quite suprised as i purchased a virtually unknown name manifold and exhaust, they were ebay purchases cybox exhaust system top quality it is and a pro tech 4-2-1 manifold very pleased with them. cheers for comments and you are bang on about the power band fadeing out
