I'm a totally noob when it comes to digital (or any) photography... i recently bought a Fuji S5600, which is great, the quality of still shots with it is fantastic...

i've had a go at moving shots, and the results were... crap to be honest.

I had a go at different shutter speeds, but the only thing i seemed to be able to get was the sunject blurred, and the background was still... when people on here seem to be able to get the subject still, and the background blurred !

where am i going wrong ?

Thanks !!!

Also what settings are you using for these shots...

Using the "S" mode of the camera with the shutter speed at about 100 (or thereabouts) any lower everything is just a constant blur. Anything higher and everything is too bright, it's just like a big white shot... probably doing it all wrong though :p

i wanted it the other way round, still subject and blurred background !

Still miles from perfect, Some come out awesome and some dont lol. They look good on the camera but when you get them home it can be disapointing so just keep on blasting away to get as many as possible

with your shots mate are you panning with the car or taking shots as the car comes too you? i think if you pan with the car maybe the car will stay normal and the background will become blurry. im yet to practice it on my 350d

thats correct. i do that with my movement shots. Find the area where you want to take the shot. Get the correct zoom then see the car pan the movement then when your at your picture target drop the button again and take the shot
