Would suggest not as glorifying death on a car forum is a political nightmare that we don't need. I know thats not the interntion, but thats what it would do

Personally im against this... not because i dont want to see a little memorial to a member or anything like that. Just dont think it helps

not a very good idea for a car forum that is supposed to be "anti racing", to outsiders it would look like we are all illegal street racers, :P

If I die I'll get by without a memorial thread on here. I'd rather bve remembered for the great things I've done. Not because I owned a saxo

Not a good idea IMO.
For a start, give it 20,30,40,50,60 years and the majority of people will have their own thread in there lol, each thread will be full of the same comments, what a great guy etc, just IMO
Oh and RIP about the guy that died, didnt hear about that :(

not having a go mate but the person this involves family when down to the wed nigth leeds meet and asked leedscruise to follow in convoy the hursts and also alot of leedscruise member are racing on sunday at york dragway in jay's name it wot he wood have wanted!!!
i myself and the family know that i have sed i would like the same with all my mate from york, cruiseboard.co.uk, memm.co.uk, scarboroughcruise.co.uk ect ect maybe with a cruise to follow. which the family would post in all of the forums new and old.
its not the best idea tho an actknolagement in gen chat would be better i think.

A separate forum is not a good idea for this sort of thing... as said, individual memorials are the right thing to do.
I've not heard any details of who this recent news involves... RIP.
