Right,

I am looking at these speakers:

Kenwood KFC-P507 (http://www.lowcostcaraudio.co.uk/shop/Kenwood-KFC-P507-KFCP507-13-cm-Speakers_pageJJ4ZZproductJJ2076ZZcategoryJJ/SPEAKERS/KENWOOD/)

Are these amplified? or do I need to get an amplifier?? - Sorry I am a newbie and don't know what those box things in the pic do, not sure if they are some sort of amp or not!!?

Would these be good enough to run with a sub and no back speakers?

Thanks

FH

Hey mate, the little boxes are called crossovers. These pretty much tell what sounds to go where, e.g high pitched sounds to tweeter.

They wouldn't have to be amplified, but they would sound alot better if they were.

These, an amp and sub in the back is all you need, however there is better stuff out there if you're willing to spend a little extra.
